The watch looks good in its gold plate. I'm not a big fan of gold watches but this will look stunning on women dressed to impress.

I switched from a Mac to this PC, and I'm very glad I did. Windows 7 is pretty great. There's a decent amount of junk software preloaded, but also some useful software (media organizers/ players, etc), and useless but fun games.

Other than that, what's not to like, especially now that it's $50 less than the $700 I paid for it? It's 14", so it's transportable. Has a DVD drive, a ton of memory, is really fast. Multiple programs run easily. Battery lasts about three hours, but can last longer with wireless/ speakers turned off.

In contrast to some negative reviews, I have had zero problems with the computer overheating. The only reasons I can think to not purchase it are if you wanted either Bluetooth or Bluray capabilities directly installed, as it doesn't have either.

I purchased this book mainly because I neede a resource that included Server 2008 R2. I'm studying for the MCTS Applications Infrastructure 70-643 exam. This book has proved to be an excellent resource for this.
Some things that the authors missed in the book though. This is probably due to the timing of their publication and such. MS now has Sharepoint Foundation 2010 and they only cover Sharepoint 3.0. They also totally neglected to cover media services. Overall they did an excellent job
The chapters written by coauthor Darril Gibson I found to be concise, informative, and covered the material very well. I would have liked if he had covered Remote Desktop Virtualization Host more as that is one area in RDS where I have a lot of interest. I perused the other areas he wrote and found those chapters to be an easy read.
Overall a good book for those with real world server experience who need to learn Server 2008 R2. For me personally, I also got the Server 2008 R2 Unleashed book to help fill in the gray areas.

Bought this for a Nikon s3000 camera and it fits like a glove. Very sturdy case and like that it attaches to your belt loop. Would highly recommend this case for ease of use. Shipping was very fast from Amazon.

I did mountains of research before committing to a replacement for my dead Sony (second dead Vaio = end of brand loyalty), and I chose this HP for its performance, value, and seeming sturdiness. The new i3 processor is fantastic and there is plenty of RAM to handle multitasking. I haven't even had to pace myself with my computing whims -- I'm downloading, word processing, virus-scanning, and listening to music without worrying about overloading the system. What I like most about this laptop is the big bright display, which for me was important in the switch from 15.4 to 14.1 -- nothing else in this price range compares. Finally, the machine is built well compared to others in this price range (I'm looking in your direction Asus and Acer).

Some reviewers have mentioned overheating, and I was apprehensive about this -- and after buying I was constantly monitoring the temp to see if a return was in my immediate future. But really it's not so bad, better than my last Sony, and I do believe that having the i3 processor (still blazing fast, mind you) minimizes this problem in this configuration. But if heat is your number one concern, sacrifice more computing power and go for one of the new super-mobile types with the dainty processors. They will stay cooler of course.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend this HP laptop to my friends, family, and to all of you!

This book is fabulous! I do a lot of working out, but was doing a lot of it wrong so I ended up in physical therapy. My PT showed me different exercises in the book to do as I was healing up. There are multiple levels of each exercise so if one is too easy, you can step up to a more challenging version. I have done one of the circuits in the back of the book, and yes it is hard, but I have really strengthened up now. I have purchased this book for two others now also. It's awesome!

I am following Mark Minasi and the Mastering Windows Series of books since 2000. I am very pleased with the content spectrum and the way it is delivered. It is a great source of information for IT professionals who want to cover most of Windows 2008 R2 with a single publication and for those who want to use it as a reference book.

It covers many of Windows 2008 R2 technologies including Networking Services, AD, IIS, VPN, etc and is full of configuration examples. Authors also summarize the theory behind the technologies in order to better understand why and how to use them

I like this case more than the Nikon Coolpix 9413 Leather Carrying Case that came in a grouped package. I like it because it totally surrounds the camera (Nikon Coolpix S640) whereas the Nikon 9413 has holes in the corner that can let is dust and (God-forbid) water/moisture.

There is a shoulder strap and a metal hook for a belt or belt hoop. Without the shoulder strap it's not really bulky.

I got it for $3.95.

This is a good system to own if you can deal with a few minor annoyances.

Windows 7 works well. Most things are in different places than XP but it's easy to find them.

This system has a basic graphics card. The Windows Experience numbers warn that the Aero interface will be sluggish sometimes, and I definitely feel that's true.

The hard drive impressively large, although not all the 500GB is usable. It is split up into three partitions. One is the system restore partition (since Windows install discs are not included), and one is the quickstart partition (a fast starting non-Windows environment that lets you surf the web and browse your media collection), so the hard drive really has only around 320 mb free when you get it. That's lots for your pictures, videos, music, etc. It's also quite speedy.

4GB RAM standard, which should be more than enough, except that about 1.5 GB are used for the integrated graphics so you only have around 2.5 GB for programs. In the future, when RAM prices come down, I'll be upgrading to 8GB of RAM.

The only ads on the machine are trials of Norton Internet Security 2010 1-User, and Microsoft Office Standard 2007 FULL VERSION, prominent links to HP's accessories store (buy from Amazon instead), an ad for an online backup service, and an icon for one of Amazon's competitors (a Bay Area auction site). Not bad.

I have no problems with overheating here. The touch panel for adjusting volume is very very useful.

I used to have a personal trainer, but after 20 sessions I had to quit. I missed having someone show me different exercises to transform my body but not anymore! After ordering several exercise books that were sorely disappointing, I was skeptical about this one. But after reading all of the positive reviews I thought I would give it a try. I am SO glad that I did! There are TONS of exercises for EVERY body part and the best feature is that the pictures are ALL in color! There is an example for every single exercise in the book and variations or modifications for many of the exercises too! I have always enjoyed the Women's Health magazine and this book exceeded my expectations as well. This is a must have for any fitness enthusiast!

I bought this music box for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. Although she had so many other gifts, she said that this is the best gift of them all. The pictures on the music box is beautifully colored and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. It is nicely put together and sturdy. A lot of attention to detail was put into this box. There are four pull out drawers. A small drawer on each the right and left side. One in the front of the box (I wish the front drawer was a little deeper) and one in the back of the box. This is the reason the front drawer does not go back deeper because the bottom space is split between the front drawer and the back drawer. When you open the lid or top of the box, there is a mirror, and a white horse that spins as the music plays. To play the music you wind up or turn the gold knob at the back. A gold colored top latch, and gold round pull out knobs for the drawers completes this beautiful box.

This case is sold with the L22 Coolpix as being correct size. It is not, it is too small, way too small. Trying to zip it shut sometimes pops the battery compartment open and the zipper scrapes the side of the camera trying to go around the corner. The case is not usable except as a temp before I trash it and buy one at Wal-Mart.

Review by The Writer in Me
Rating:
The book is excellent for having colorful detailed pictures of 619 varying forms of exercise movements using weight or strength training. My only issue with the book is that the Women's version is nearly identical to the Men's version. I bought both, one for me and the other for my husband, thinking it would offer something different, because a woman's body is different than a man's and does not lose weight or build muscle at the same degree. I was sadly disappointed. Buying both is a waste of money. The information is exactly the same as well as the exercises, it also has the EXACT amount of pages in each book.

The diet plan section was too brief and did not go into enough detail. The cardio section was dismal at best. Some of the nutritional information was iffy, like High Fructose Corn Syrup being nutritional similiar to sugar, that's a crock. Look up HFCS and find out how they manufacture it. Any synthetic food should be limited, but natural is better thank synthetic, and as the book states both should be limited. But it didn't say any of the harmful effects that HCFS has on your liver and how it's works harder trying to process HFCS. My theory, if God didn't grow it, don't eat it.

What I did like was the exercises, I like how the sections were divided and how it went into detail describing the muscles being worked for that section and why it is important to work that particular muscle group. It's very easy to navigate through and it has exercises to perform for home or for the gym.

I think the price is too high for what they deliver, but if you can find it cheaper than the listed retail price which is 24.99 plus shipping which is nearly $4, I say go for it. But it's definitely not worth 28.00.

I will be sending this book back and keeping the Men's Big Book for my husband.

I've owned my computer for almost a week now, and I'm absolutely loving it. For the money I almost bought an Hp with a T6600 processor and 320GB hard drive etc etc. I bought this for the same price as the other hp and got MORE memory and a better processor. Why wouldn't you want an upgrade of 180 GB hard drive for free? If your a student and like to have lots of music, videos and play light gaming and still have tons of room for your homework and projects, this is a great computer.

I also love how its 14" monitor, so I can take it anywhere and fit it into any bag. It has a very sleek and glossy exterior. A little bit of work to keep clean, but that's no reason not to buy a computer. The speakers are great for a laptop. I was actually surprised how clear sounds and music was. As with most HP laptops, you get the lightscribe burner, which is great, but it also comes with a disc replacement thing so if you don't care to use a disc drive, you can remove it and save some weight. But really it doesn't weigh that much.

The only downfall I have with this computer is the slightly low battery life. I think a little bit of that might be my fault cause I just plugged in and played rather than letting the battery charge fully first before I started playing with it.

Great laptop for the price.

This book is very well written and highly readable. A great way to learn about Windows 2008 R2. Mark Minasi and his co-authors have a great writing style making it much more readable than the Microsoft books. This is the last book in a series of books that has run since the days of Windows NT 3.51. Windows has grown over that time and it is a struggle to get compressive coverage into a single book so it ends up being a bit light on many topics.

Advanced Systems Engineers will need more specialist books but I highly recommend this to Intermediate level administrators or Desktop support people wanting to move to Level 3 server support.

I would say the only thing good about this musical jewelry box was the beautiful paintings on the outside. Otherwise, its junk. I know it is a relatively inexpensive jewelry box BUT..it came to me with broken hinges, scratched inside and the screws were loose..someone didn't inspect this before mailing it to me..unfortunate. I wouldn't purchase this product again.

This hard case is awesome! I am a Marine and deployed in Afghanistan. This is the best thing I can think of to use for multiple environments. I take pictures as often as possible so my camera is in and out of the case all the time. It has been dropped, walked on, buried in sand and still out performs any other case I have had. Thanks to this case my Nikon camera is still in pristine condition. Oh, and the case is doing great also.Nikon Coolpix S570 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Black)

Review by Tom Carpenter
Rating:
I must say, unlike many people, I was not as excited about the Mastering Windows Server 2003 book (though I liked the SP1 and R2 Update Edition book very much). I felt the 2003 book was lacking that insightful depth that I so enjoyed when I first encountered Mark's books back in the 1990s. I assumed it was just that I knew much more about Windows environments now, but this book proves that was not the case.

I've been working with Windows Server 2008 R2 since the first TechNet Beta was released back in, I think it was, January of '09. I spent hours diving into the new features and then did the same with the release candidate and the RTM. However, I've had this book for less than two days and I've already encountered several excellent sections that clarified poorly written Microsoft documentation or provided new thoughts for the same technologies Microsoft covers in a different way.

The team for this book seems to have changed from the excellent team that delivered the Server 2003 Update Edition book and I was a little concerned when I saw this; however, my concerns were not well-founded. This team may be the best that Mark has ever put together for his Mastering series of books.

Now, for those who've worked with Windows Server 2008 over the past couple of years, you will love the small but important sections all through the book that cover "New... in Windows Server 2008 R2". You can replace the ... with Active Directory, TCP, DNS and many more. The point is that the book works for those completely new to Server 2008 or 2008 R2 and it helps those who've worked with Server 2008 find those nuggets of newness related only to Server 2008 R2. One of my favorite features, which the book addresses, is the new ability to use Server Manager to manage remote Windows Server 2008 R2 machines.

I can give this excellent book no less than five stars. Way to go team Minasi! This series is back on track.

I must say, unlike many people, I was not as excited about the Mastering Windows Server 2003 book (though I liked the SP1 and R2 Update Edition book very much). I felt the 2003 book was lacking that insightful depth that I so enjoyed when I first encountered Mark’s books back in the 1990s. I assumed it was just that I knew much more about Windows environments now, but this book proves that was not the case.

I’ve been working with Windows Server 2008 R2 since the first TechNet Beta was released back in, I think it was, January of ’09. I spent hours diving into the new features and then did the same with the release candidate and the RTM. However, I’ve had this book for less than two days and I’ve already encountered several excellent sections that clarified poorly written Microsoft documentation or provided new thoughts for the same technologies Microsoft covers in a different way.

The team for this book seems to have changed from the excellent team that delivered the Server 2003 Update Edition book and I was a little concerned when I saw this; however, my concerns were not well-founded. This team may be the best that Mark has ever put together for his Mastering series of books.

Picked up this watch at the last minute before a sailing/ snorkeling/ scuba trip since my usual Timex Ironman had just died, and the price for the 1440 was only 1/2 to 1/3 that of the Ironman I usually buy. While this watch was only rated water-resistant to 50 meters/ 165 feet (unlike the 100+ meters for the Ironman) I didn't expect it to be an issue since as a recreational diver I never dive that deep.
However, I got what I paid for - the 1440 couldn't even handle a half hour in shallow (< 30 foot) water on my first dive - and what's even worse, it was a dive that ended up being more snorkeling than diving; by the time I was back on the boat the face was so badly fogged that it was impossible to read the watch, and it hasn't cleared to any significant degree in the days since.
The watch is getting returned.

Do NOT buy this product if you are planning on putting a Nikon COOLPX L22 camera in here. It does NOT fit, even though Amazon advertises it to go along w/the this model camera. You cannot zip the case closed without forcing the zipper which could cause damage to a sensitive electronic device like the Nikon camera. Complete waste of money!

I had have this computer for a month now, so here goes nothing:

Pros:
- Excellent design
- 4GB Ram, enough for most tasks
- 500GB hard drive, for me that's enough for now
- Small size and little weight (even lighter when DVD is removed, which is an excellent feature in itself)
- Windows 7 (better than Vista, we'll see about XP)
- EXCELLENT PRICE

Cons:
- Battery life is about 2 hours, bound to decrease within 6 months, not on par with most other laptops this size.
- Touchpad really has a mind of its own on ocassion.
- Glossy design is beautiful, but it's also a fingerprint magnet
- Opening it is a cumbersome task, not really bad, but a little.
- Windows 7 "64bit" - Some old programs I use refuse to work in such environment.

All in all a solid laptop, with excellent features (and minor inconveniences), but please, HP, this is my third HP laptop and the batteries have never been your forte. (yet I keep buying HP) DO SOMETHING!

UPDATE: The battery won't last for more than an hour and a half, so I took two stars off my review for this major inconvenience. Sorry to say this, but I no longer recommend this purchase.

I just received this book in the mail and I am much happier with it than I could have ever expected. The book is comprised of the following: a FAQ section, a diet and exercise plan, 14 exercise programs to choose from, a nutrition chapter, a cardio chapter, and chapters of exercises for each of the following: chest, back, shoulders, arms, quads & calves, glutes & hamstrings, core, total body, and warmup exercises. The pictures in the book are very clear and easy to follow. As for the equipment needed, I've found that most of the chapters have exercises that can be done with or without access to a gym.
My favorite part about this book is the chapter on different exercise programs. This book offers the following exercise plans: "The Get Your Body Back Workout," "The Best Workouts for a Crowded Gym," "The Skinny Jeans Workout," "The Bikini Ready Workout," "The Wedding Workout," "The Hard Body Workout," "The Lose the Last 10 Pounds Workout," "The Best Sports Workout," "The Best Three Exercise Workouts," "The Prenatal Workout," "The Time Saving Couples Workout," "The Best Body-Weight Workouts," "The Best 15 Minute Workouts," and "The Spartacus Workout."
Overall, I would highly recommend this product. This is the only book I'll ever need for weight lifting exercises!

Very comprehensive overview of hundreds of exercises that can be done using gym equipment, home equipment (stability balls, dumbbells, etc.), and/or no equipment. The photos detailing each exercise are in full color and the accompanying explanations are detailed, specific, and easy to follow.

The book is broken down into chapters dedicated to body parts: Chest, Back, Shoulders, Arms, Quadriceps & Calves, Glutes & Hamstrings, Core, as well as chapters for Total Body and Warmup Exercises. There is also a chapter on how to put various exercises together for specific-goal workouts (e.g. "The Get Your Body Back Workout", "The Skinny Jeans Workout", "The Bikini-Ready Workout", "The Best Sports Workout", "The Best Three-Exercise Workouts"). In addition, there are chapters dedicated to Nutrition, Cardio Workouts, the importance of Weights, etc.

All in all, this is an extremely comprehensive book that is not at all about gimmicks or shortcuts but is simply well researched and well presented. It will literally replace several books I've bought on this subject in past years. I'm not easily impressed by books on this subject and yet I'm extremely impressed by this compilation. Well done Adam Campbell and contributors!

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter when we were attending All American Quarterhorse Congress in Columbus Ohio. She picked it out for herself and couldn't be still until we went back and bought it. This is a very nice keepsake that I am sure she will have for many years to come and all the little drawers made it fun for her.

I want a watch to tell time when I go to the gym or play sports. For the price at Amazon, it really can't be beat even if it dies in a year or two. It has all the standard chrono, alarm, and timer functions. I would prefer the timer to retain the value I set after it counts down instead of having to set it every time.

The one major reason that I took a star off is that the watch does NOT have a green face like the picture. Some watches, like an Armitron a friend has, glow green depending on the angle. I thought I was getting similar technology here but the dial face is just black numbers on greyish silver white background. When illuminated, it turns blue; it never has the green face. I would have returned it had it cost more, but it is not worth it here.

I am surprised no one has yet mentioned this. Maybe I got a lemon?

I purchased this music box for my daughters 5th birthday. She opened it at the party and it was an instant hit with all the little girls! It has several little drawers which are perfect for storing her little "treasures". She loves to wind it and watch the horse spin while listening to the "pretty music". Several other moms wanted to know where I bought the music box so they could get one for their own daughters. Truly a worthwhile purchase!

I got this to replace my Timex Ironman. It's mostly good, but there are a few things that might have diussuaded me from by it if I had known about them and if there had been a better alternative:

1. It beeps every time you push a button (except for the Indiglo button). On the Ironman that's only the case when the hourly chime is on.

2. The countdown timer doesn't save the last entry. For example, if you set it to count down 5 minutes and stop it with one minute left, the timer just stays set to one minute. If you want to count another five minutes, you have to reset it. Not a huge deal but kind of anoying.

One nice difference is the Indiglo button - instead of just staying on while you hold it (unless you hold it down for a few seconds), one push lights the face for several seconds. The buttons are also a lot easier to push.

--- Update ---
After three years, the resin band started to split, and I had to replace the watch (or continue using duct tape). The little tie thing that holds the band together broke way before that, and I had to use rubber bands and twist ties to hold it together. I'm removing a star from my rating due to the relatively short lifespan of the band.

I am student in a wilderness school. This watch does every thing I need it to do. It cost under $20 so it is a great value for what I paid for it. I use it when I am swimming, running, or out on a field exercise without a problem. It will not sing and dance for you, but if you want an affordable and reliable watch with good durability, this watch is the way to go.

There's a Brit saying: "Pay a cheap price, buy twice". Basically false economy rears it's ugly head - for example: you buy a cheap watch to try and save money only to find the watch broke after a short while and you having to buy ANOTHER watch to replace it.

This isn't the case with this watch. I opted for a sports watch because I was fed up to the bleedin' eyeballs with having chain link watches breaking all the time on me (and not all of them were that cheap either.) I also wanted a watch to go jogging with as well, so I opted for this beauty because of its price and its countdown timer.

I was not disappointed, it is a lot smaller than I thought it will be, which is a bonus as it is disheartneing to go jogging with what feels like a leadbrick swinging from your arm, but it still feels solid and compact all the time - what I am trying to say is that this Timex doesn't 'feel' cheap.

I wasn't expecting much with the watch but I am very please with it. I initially bought it as a cheap knockaround watch but I wear it all the time now!

The options are also fairly easy to use, stopwatch, countdown (upto an hour I think), alarm, etc. The illumination is also very good when in dark places.

I have had the watch one month so I cannot guarantee it will last a long time but so far I have no problems with it at all. Well worth the price though, and wouldn't swap this watch for most of the more expensive watches I have had.

There are cheaper watches out there, but for the extra pennies (or cents) it is worth getting this.

I advise every medical student to read from this great book. It might be time-consuming, but believe me once you read the beginning of any chapter, you still want to read it till you finish it! What makes reading even more interesting is the clinical relevance presented at the end of each chapter, which makes you understand the mechanism of a disease. Its biggest drawback is its lack of enough diagrams and illustrations, which if present are still poor, compared to other illustrated physiology books.

Review by Wizkid
Rating:
"When the length of the spindle receptor increases suddenly, the primary ending (but not the secondary ending) is stimulated especially powerfully, much more powerfully than the stimulus caused by the static response. This excess stimulus of the primary ending is called the dynamic response, which means that the primary ending responds extremely actively to a rapid rate of change in spindle length. Even when the length of a spindle receptor increases only a fraction of a micrometer, if this increase occurs in a fraction of a second, the primary receptor transmits tremendous numbers of excess impulses in the Ia fiber--but only while the length is actually increasing."

I have quoted at some length from an almost randomly selected passage on muscle sensory receptors to give you a chance to see for yourself what Guyton and Hall do. If this sort of thing sounds like gobbledygook to you, then avoid this book. If it sounds obvious and trite, you too should not bother with this book. (You may be one of the two types of readers I discuss below.) But if, like me, you knew about muscle spindles but didn't know the actual mechanisms and, like me, find the clarity, completeness, and detail of this description extraordinarily exciting, then Guyton and Hall may be just what you're looking for.

I can imagine two types of readers for whom Guyton and Hall will not work, both represented fairly well among the other reviewers here. One is, so to speak, below the book, the other above it. The book will suit neither those coming to anatomy and physiology for the first time (unless they are extremely intelligent and motivated) nor those whose grasp of the English language is slight (either because English is their second language or because they read and write rarely). For beginning students, Marieb's book is probably better. I'm not sure what to recommend to those who find Guyton and Hall verbose instead of astonishingly precise, other than more experience reading English sentences with more than two clauses. As for those who are above the book, who find it repetitive or expansive rather than concise and abbreviated, it may be that in fact you are looking for something other than what this book offers.

My experience as a student and teacher for many years has shown me that some people seek a kind of instant knowledge, like a microwaved meal, so that they can pass a test above all quickly. Indeed, there may be more and more of these people as time goes on. For these, a briefer review text, as Ganong is said to be, will always be preferable. But if you seek in-depth and permanent understanding that comes from prolonged thinking about connections and patterns in detail, then I can hardly imagine a better text than Guyton and Hall. It has electrified me with insight on virtually every page.

The one criticism that I might agree with concerns the illustrations, charts, and diagrams: they are all in black/gray and red only. But I love even these, because their Spartan quality emphasizes that it is your own imagination that must properly depict the subject. And for aiding that the illustrations are excellent--utterly clear, precise, and purposive, just like the book as a whole.

I didn't realize when I purchased this that it was a collection of short stories. I just bought it because I had read a book by Scott and really liked it. I usually don't care for short stories because they always leave me feeling like I do when I eat one bite of something and am still hungry. However, I have to say that these stories were interesting and spooky. Some of them would have been great made into a movie! :)

You can't really go too wrong with this text, especially as a reference. My main problem with Guyton is that the writing style is often soporific, tedious, and rambling. Parts of the section on heart action almost sounded like a parody of a really awful college lecture. For anyone planning to study physiology systematically, I would strongly recommend Berne and Levy's *Physiology* over Guyton. The Berne book is equally comprehensive but has much better layout and genuinely good writing.

While the price wars and general whining are going on with Kindle book prices. I'm looking to bargains for my reading jones. Thank you Scott Nicholson for putting Ashes here for $0.99.

There are great stories in here, some of course better than others, but for the price of admission, they are all worth it. I like short stories because I can finish one or two during my lunch break.

Favorites so far: "Murdermouth" and "Watermelon" I haven't finished the book yet, but really liking what I read. I will definately buy the others.

Great fun and prickly goosebumps.

I agree with the previous review that this book is quite long and is not at all concise. Concepts repeat themselves everywhere. However, not all students are so bright that they can remember everything in just one go. I am a medical student myself, and I find it frustrating to not being able to understand some important concepts in the later part of a course just because no one reminded me of one or two simple things taught before that I have forgotten. Te secret of the Guyton lies here. Information is repeated continuously, so giving the book consistency throughout the text, as it travels through different areas of physiology. The secret of its lucid explanations lies here too: Guyton likes to hear himself talk. Remember, THIS BOOK IS RECITED. Guyton couldn't write! That's why his text is so similar to a teacher with a voice. You are reading his lecture scripts.
Anyway, I love the book for its explanations where every concept is explained from the very first principles, even though they were taught before in just the page before.
Yes, it is quite a physiology for dummies, but there isn't a lot of students who are not dummies. Being a "dummy" does not mean you are stupid, a "dummy" is just a person who can't memorise and digest everything in one go and needs some reminders here and there to facilitate learning. If you've got a camera memory, don't get this book, or you will feel bored.
However, it's really a long text, so I read it as if it's a leisure book and memorize as much as I can. Don't push yourself!

Computer looks like it came right off the garage floor and into a box. When the box was opened we knew there would be problems because the computer was not properly packed, a minimal amount of form was added and there is no factory packaging. Computer worked for approximately 5 minutes and then quit. No keyboard action would revive the machine so I had to press the power button to shut it off. After several minutes it started normally but again the same problem. We believe we traced the problem to the junk speakers it shipped with. When the machine ran we managed to download the updates but now it sounds like "rice crispies" and we're sending it back before the house burns down.

Reviews for this company were good. Reviews for this produt stank so I should have dug deeper. Now I'm out the shipping charges (both ways). If you researched this computer a week ago you'd see a drastic price drop because the stuff doesn't work.

I admit I was one of those people who sent the Shake Weight video around as a joke to my friends the first time I saw it with the tagline: "Who the hell would actually buy this?!" I dismissed it as one of those stupid As Seen On TV products that are destined for landfills after a short-lived stint in some sucker's living room proved it a waste of plastic. Then I read a glowing review in a fitness magazine and I decided I had to give it a try. After three weeks, my arms are considerably stronger and more toned! My husband still makes fun of me when he sees me using it but I am enjoying my new muscular arms, so I guess I will have the last laugh! I recommend this product, but advise you to take it easy during the Shoulder Press exercise. If you feel pain in your shoulder - STOP and save yourself a serious rotator cuff injury!

I too was very frustrated when I purchased this laptop and discovered an issue with the mic. However, HP has put out a downloadable software driver and I installed it and it works fine now!!! My wife uses skype and messanger. As for the rest of the laptop....we are very happy with it. The webcam has fantastic clarity even in not so good lighting. So, ignore the previous gripes with the internal mic. You may purchase the laptop with the defective driver but you can download the new one in two minutes.

In this collection, Scott Nicholson provides a good mixture of creepy, suspenseful, and thrilling tales. In this collection, you will meet...

- A funeral home owner who takes his job just a little too seriously.

- A snoopy journalist who begins to dig too deeply for his own good.

- An imaginary friend with a love of dangerous games.

- A man who finds much more than he bargained for when he explores a deserted island.

These, and many more will lead you on a journey through a desolate landscape of nightmares.

The computer was delivered just on time. After setup, it worked for a few minutes and just quit. I had to turn it off and leave it for some time before it could pick up. Since then, it has never given me any problems and is awesomely working. Not bad for the price. I would recommend other customers to these guys.

I have only had this laptop for a week and so far it has been working very nicely. I have always been an HP fan so I love it even more. I love the look and feel. The graphics is wonderful and the brightview screen enhances the colors. All the features makes it very exciting to use and I love the fact that it has a built in webcam and wireless network ready. I have also notice that it is not a noisy machine in which is a plus.....thanks its wonderful!

I agree with the reviewer from Israel, this book is exceptional at explaining physiology. During my first year in medical school I used Berne and Levy as the text for medical physiology and I found it to be a very good text. But reviewing physiology during my second year I used the text by Guyton and I couldn't believe how well written and clear it was. Both texts are excellent and I give both 5 stars, but I would definately recommend Guyton for a first read, and then Berne and Levy.

However, not all sections in this book, like not all sections in Berne and Levy are excellent. I recommend supplementing reading in Respiratory physiology by West or weinburg, Renal Physiology by rose or vander, and GI with Johnson. Cardio use B/L-it's the best. Endocrine, Guyton is good. Nerve and Muscle physiology use Berne and Levy; and Neurophysiology I highly recommend reading Neuroscience by Purves and Essentials of Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology by Gilman.

I really love my Shake Weight. I read a few reviews about it and people seemed to really like it so I got it, too. They do have a money back guarantee and I would not have hesitated to use it if I didn't like it. The Shake Weight comes with a workout DVD for a 6 minute workout. I do it once a day while I'm watching TV (the workout is not hard to memorize). I usually cannot even do each exercise for the recommended time because my arms hurt so much. I took before pictures and after just one week of using it I took after pictures and my arms look amazing. When I flex there is actually muscle now and my triceps have great definition. I wish I could upload the pictures but I guess you can't do that on amazon. I never had huge arms they just had no muscle tone. The Shake Weight definitely tones your arms and it is so easy to use. Yes... it looks really weird and sexual to use it but all my roommates love it now and they use it, too. I even convinced one of my guy friends to get the men's version. Hopefully it will work just as well for him as it has for me!
This is a must buy if you are lazy like me and never go to the gym but still want awesome sexy arms!

What a fun way to carry your photos!
I received my keychain just a few days ago and couldn't wait to play with it! It took just seconds to load the software, plug in the camera and start loading pictures. The software is simple to use and allows easy cropping & rotating. The screen is small - just about 1x1.12 inches - about the size of a large thumbnail image but the quality is surprisingly good.
Sure, it's not something you would use to archive your family history but it is a fun "memory keeper" for holding reminders of good times, friends and family.
The screen surface could get scratched easily with standard use (hey! it's a keychain!) so I took a strip of clear package sealing tape and put it over the screen for protection. This easy solution works great on most electronics and doesn't interfer with the image.

I purchased this watch to replace a G-Shock. This watch has more features, and is 1/4 the price I paid for the G-Shock. I have been using it for about a month now and am really happy with my choice. Truely, "more bang for my buck". Not to mention the estimated 10 yr. battery life.

I bought three of these for gifts and planned to preload them with family photos. I have Windows XP. The CD that you load only offered Vista or the program for a Mac. I called Coby and they said that it shouldn't be the case as it advertised that it works with Windows XP. They had me open two of them to check. They then suggested that I return them. I am hoping that Amazon will let me send them back even though they are opened. I can only assume that Coby is switching to Vista only for the PC but hasn't revised any of the instructions or promotional material. How disappointing!

When I received my computer I took it home and hooked everything up. All that happened is that the fan came on. I sent an e-mail to the company and they sent me a form to send it back for repair. I send it UPS, at my expense, and it shows they sign for it on Tuesday. I contact the company on Thursday to find out what's happening, and get told that it is scheduled to go to the diagnostic bench on Monday. That's almost a week from when they get it. I'm waiting to see what's going to happen next. I will keep you posted and pray it all works out OK.
