This is the third book in the secret series by Pseudonymous Bosch. It is continuing the story from the first two books of the series. The main characters are Max-Ernest, Cassandra, and a new character Simone. They are trying to discover a secret about Cassandra’s ancestors. Throughout the book they battle all different kinds of monsters and always defeat them. On their quest to find out what the secret is, Cassandra and Max-Ernest free Simone, who had been locked up in a giant bird cage, and she agrees to help with their journey. A lot of the journey has to do with chocolate and finding out what the secret of Cassandra’s ancestors was. Since I love chocolate, this was a perfect book for me. Every page has lots of action and it makes you want to keep on reading. It is not your normal sort of mystery. This book has very unusual characters and situations. There are chocolate making monkeys, a bird with a special talent, and a deadly snake. It is filled with fantasy of all types. If you enjoy mystery and strange events, this book is good for you, even though the name of it is “This Book is Not Good For You. You won’t want to put it down. If I ever met Pseudonomous Bosch, I would ask him to write more books for the secret series.

This is one of my All Time favorite books! Pseudonymous is SO SO SO hilarious! this is a MUST read for someone who enjoyed Lemony Snicket or The MYsterious Benedict Society! So stop reading reviews and just buy the book!

I ordered this book for a gift back in early February as a pre-order item. It is now mid-March and I still have not received this product. I truely hope it is just a mail system problem and not the seller problem. I hate to give a bad review to someone who followed through on their part. For now, I will not use this seller again. Hopefully, the item will arrive and I can retract this review!

This book was okay. I mean, it wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t good either. It just made me hungry.The best in the series was the first one. At least it wasn’t a total waste of my time.

If you like J.K Rowling’s, Trenton Lee Stewart’s, or Rick Riordan’s books, you will absolutely love this series! It has the perfect combination of adventure and comedy- and chocolate of course! In my opinion it is P. Bosch’s best book yet… I cant wait for number 4!
