I don’t know why ps3 games are not all in 1080p or 1080i resolutions. Its supposed that we do have a big LCD screen will have an advantage, but no, it look horrible. Nintendo 64 looks better.

I’m not a fanboy of xbox or anything, but at least every game that I buy for 360 is 1080i capable.

Very dissapointed with infamous and the ps3

This game is like a Little Big Planet version of Prototype. Powers are stupid. Lightning? Seriously? I played this and am glad I waited for Prototype instead. This game is boring compared to Prototype. You have to slowly climb buildings. There’s like no blood. You cant attack enemies through fences. Water kills you instantly. How does this sound fun to anyone? And the storyline is pathetically predictable and lame. The enemies look like leftover props from the spider-man games. Prototype FOR THE WIN!

I rented this game before going out and buyuing it. I saw all the great reviews and was very excited to give it a try.

For the pro’s – the game environment is great. Plenty to climb and just an all around great world environment. The story line was great (what I saw anyways) and the powers were great too. I liked the you could choose between being good or bad. I really appreciate that the game did not have gore. The gore in games now is just over the top and totally unnecessary. I want more in a game than gore. Some have said the lack of gore is a negative, I see it as a positive.

The level ups on the lightning ability were also a bonus. I think the designers did a lot to really make the game fun.

Con’s – The reason I gave this game only 1 star and therefore can’t recommend this to anyone is for the lanuage and some of the cut scenes. The lanaguage was just out of control. Honestly, who swears that often in a conversation? Even if someone does, I don’t want it in a game. There was so much swearing that I finally had to turn the game off and took it back. Some of the cut scenes, though comic book looking, were very graphic ( both in disturbing images and content ). I also read from another reveiwer that one of the bosses that you fight later on in the game is terribly immodest.

In the end, I like a good game with a great storyline as the next gamer ( and I have been playing games longer than some have been alive ). But in the end, the language and cut scenes with a very immodest boss fight in the game made it so I took this game back and won’t be buying it.

Look game designers, it is possible to make a great game and not have all the swearing, gore, and immodesty in it. I hope Sucker Punch will take a look at taking these things out if they decide to do an inFamous 2 (which they probably will).

I would recommend this game to anyone, free roaming environments, awesome effects, great psychics, and just all around fun. But my GOD i’m sick of almost every game coming out on PS3 having a supported max res of only 720p for the sake of making the gameplay better. Blah blah its such a beast to program for, well people made it, so they’ve had over 2 years to learn it. Lets get crackin, i can’t believe that very very very few PS3 exclusives are 1080p, its BLU RAY geez. But anyways get the game play it, enjoy it, you’ll love shooting bolts of electricity at enemies cars buildings and then some. Just don’t bother getting a nice 1080p LCD tv like i did, i only do hardcore gaming on my xbox elite..and the games all look stunning and FULL 1080p RES!!

If you’ve played Crackdown you will get tired of this quick. The game is mostly climbing buildings looking for little glowing icons hidden around the city (sound familiar?) that you use to power up your abilities, mini missions that clear out parts of the city of bad guys (sound familiar?) and main story missions that essentially are just you zapping things with electricity to make them work

Its fun for an hour or two, and then you realize that’s all there is to the game and it gets old really fast. I bought my copy yesterday and I’m planning to return it today, after I’ve beaten it. Do yourself a favor and just rent it instead of buying it
