The new Canon SX200IS is a fabulous camera. This is probably my 7th digital camera. They keep improving so much that I have to get a new one every 2 or 3 years. Although it’s a point and shoot, it has so many options that I will be leaving my DSLR home from now on. It’s light and easy to carry in a case on my belt. The lens is fantastic. You can shoot in macro, a bug crawling on the front element of the lens. Or zoom to 12X optical or even 48X digital. For low light you can use ASA 3200. It has all the options that my elph has and then some. It’s just an ordinary case for the camera only. Not what I need. I need something that is very tight and snug fit to protect the camera only so I can fit into my purse for easy access to take pictures of my kids.

I finally had to replace my old Canon Powershot camera. The reason for this is it got dropped one too many times, denting the body and making the camera really slow. Because of that, I decided I needed to purchase a protective case for my new Canon Powershot SX200IS camera.
This case isn’t fancy, it doesn’t have any extra pockets or bells & whistles, but it’s a good, solid case that fits the camera well. There is a belt loop on the back, and your camera’s strap fits through the top, so you have 2 options to carry the camera in the case.
There isn’t any extra room for batteries or SD cards, but I’ve found the batteries to last through several hundred photos, and the huge storage size of the SD cards means I don’t have to switch those out often.
This camera has been dropped on the floor by my 3 year old, but this case protected my investment, so it’s absolutely worth it to me.
If you need a larger case to carry a flash, extra batteries, extra cards, etc., then this is not the product for you. If you want something small that will protect your camera, this is a great purchase.

To pay $14.00 for the item was reasonable. But to pay $16.00 for the shipment is unreasonable. This item was shipped by UPS and should have been shipped by USPS! Amazon vendors should follow Amazon’s shipping practices.
