I needed a replacement charger for my HP Laptop. I order this one and I was very happy with the product. It came in about a weeks time (4-5 days or so) and has kept my laptop charge. No problems with the wires fraying or anything thing like that. This one is only a 2-prong instead of a 3-prong but I prefer that because my family’s cabin has many outlets that are only 2-prongs. I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace their own.

agree with most all of the commenters as i have 2 hp laptops and one moves around with me more than the one in my home office. after 6 years the cable began to short so it was time. at first i thought that this replacement must have some catch because it seems just too right and too cheap. i was wrong and listened to the other commenters. perfect product at a very reduced priced. a suitable factory replacement and quick delivery to. i have never had one problem with amazon and when a product (a book actually) was advertised as new and was pencil marked the seller refunded my entire purchase including shipping and told me to keep the book for reference. again i appreciate all of the comments because it helps me make my buyiing decisions. this is a great service.

Like so many other people complained, my HP power cord was splitting and I could see the wiring. The cost of the HP replacement is expensive, and after having the first one fall apart, I wasn’t too excited to buy another. Based on the reviews of this product, I decided to purchase one. I’ve been using it for over a month now and have had no issues to date. It works great and was definitely worth the price. If you need to replace your power cord for the “HP Spare 402018-001″, this one is a good choice.

This is the 1st time I ‘ve had to buy a replacement DC adpater for myself.
The HP original was poorly designed because it left too much play that caused stress on the internals & its replacement was too expensive for the “re-do”.
The secondary replacement is everything the HP isn’t: fit, finish, price, & fast delivery.

When the AC adaptor that came with my Presaro Compaq v2000 laptop bit the dust, I found this one to replace it. I as very pleased with the price, and the reviews were so high I was sure I was getting a good deal. The cord arrived in good order, and worked fine for awhile. I did notice that sometimes it got VERY hot, but as everything else seemed to be fine I didn’t think much of this. After a couple months the laptop stopped charging. In order to get any charge into the laptop I had to hold the laptop end of the plug at just the right angle (this was the same problem I had with the original cord before it died). then, just three months after I purchased it, the cord stopped working entirely. Despite the amazing price, I was disappointed to not get something of a more durable quality.
